Spent Christmas at a hotel near the lake. It's right in the middle of nature. We loved seeing monkeys and birds all around us. Great Sri Lankan breakfast, and the room was spacious and clean. The hosts were friendly, and even drove us around on their tuk-tuk. It was far from the bustling city, so it was relaxing and peaceful.
The location was a bit hard to find, and the road leading to the hotel was rough. , the hotel was a bit outdated, and the bathroom could use some renovation.
